THE OPPORTUNITY AWAITS YOU

As the Manager Fixed Assets & Maintenance you will manage and oversee the delivery of repair and preventive maintenance work for all facilities at the REAL District. You will be responsible for developing and implementing a proactive repair and maintenance management program to ensure the adherence to high quality facility maintenance service standards that support the delivery of entertainment, trade, agribusiness, sporting, recreational, catering, food services, office administration, parking, and storage. This role works collaboratively to ensure that facility and equipment maintenance activities are planned on a proactive & predictive basis, maintain the highest quality of industry and safety standards, and are performed on schedule and within budget. 

WHAT YOU WILL DO

This role leads, oversees and manages facility repair activities and preventative maintenance programs and services to support event, entertainment, and recreational requirements by:

  1. Maintaining the mechanical, electrical, heating/cooling ammonia plant and control systems.
  2. Maintaining and updating the asset performance & preventative maintenance database systems and active monitoring of all reactionary and preventative maintenance work orders.
  3. Managing the installation, maintenance and the repair of all facilities, equipment/tools and electrical and mechanical systems.
  4. Working closely with customer service groups to identify specific time periods for performance of preventive maintenance to minimize disruption of normal operations yet schedule preventive maintenance work throughout the entire year.
  5. Working with consulting engineers to create facility modification designs, scopes of work, and RFP/RFQ documents for major or more significant facilities repair & maintenance events for required project & business needs.
  6. Overseeing and directing the Fixed Assets and Maintenance team to ensure all fixed assets and maintenance on our campus

WHAT IT TAKES

Apply today if you meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree with specialization in civil, mechanical, electrical or building systems engineering or Journey tradesperson certification (Red Seal) in electrical, millwright, HVAC technician, carpenter or plumber.
  • Senior power engineering certification.
  • 5+ years of experience in building maintenance operating and maintaining HVAC, electrical and refrigeration systems, and boilers, with at least five (5) years’ experience managing or coordinating the work of others to achieve business outcomes.
  • Project management training, certification or relevant combination of education, training and experience would be an asset.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, complex environment with a high degree of organizational effectiveness.
  • Demonstrated proficiency for managing multiple, complex priorities within demanding timeframes.
  • Knowledge of building maintenance standards and processes.
  • Knowledge of relevant construction law and building codes.
  • Experience in a unionized environment would be preferred.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a satisfactory Criminal Record Check for the duration of employment.
